odd mousepad

my pc is about 3 days old now. currently, im using the padding from the motherboard box as my mouse pad :P
i just wanted to know, do these things have any chemicals or fibers in them that would make it a bad idea to have my arm resting on all the time?
(this thing sure is damn comfortable)
 
well, that depends what the packaging your talking about is, if its like polystyrene stuff, then i dont think its too good to have your arm on it ocnstantly for like 6 hours, you might get some kind skin inflammation or something, but if its card or something, then its ok, antistatic bags, is ok too, but really, go pay £5 and get a decent mat, you cant be doing very much good for the accuracy of the mouse with it on some packaging....

It should be fine, NO company would package there products with anything even remotly dangorous, at least not without a big label. They don't want to be sued.
