Odd Problem

Ok thank you first of all for helping me, on my emachines when I start it up it gets to the emachines loading screen and then shuts off. When i try to go to the bios it freezes at the emachines load screen. There was a power outage, but I have a serge Protecter. The serge protecter works fine on everything else, the fans in the computer are all working, no smells of burning or blown solders. Any Ideas, thanks a lot....Nick
 
If you think it started happening after the power outage, it could be your power supply. It could be a lot of things, but I'm just guessing. How long have you had it? Is it still under warranty?
