Odd XP Error

Firstly, setup:

ASRock Dual Series (AGP/PXI-X) Socket 939
AMD 3200+
6800GS

This is all I have in my compter so far, with other things to add, such as my sound card.

My problem is that after installing XP, and updating it all and installing all my mobo drivers the screen will freeze at the blue screen, which afterwards is my theme/desktop is supposed to be loaded. The black screen before that my mouse is moveable, but aftewarsd on that blue screen it is not. It will boot normally in safe mode.

I'm not sure what, but I believe that it is some of the drivers that come with my motherboard. I will probably re install XP and udpate again being as it isn't too long of a waite. Suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Also, does anyone know why my computer won't boot windows in Dual Channel mode (RAM) but in single it will?

Did you upgrade your graphic drivers??

One driver from Nvidia released one that cause memory dumps soon as you login to XP.... Try uninstalling (in safe mode) your video card drivers before you reinstall windows.

Also, does anyone know why my computer won't boot windows in Dual Channel mode (RAM) but in single it will?

Do you have it enabled in your BIOS?

I'll check my BIOS when I can, and thankyou. I'll let you know how it goes.

Would it be just as fine to format the disk and start fresh with nothing?

Good and bad news. The good is that uninstalling the drivers in safe mode fixed the problem, the bad is now when I attempt to install the drivers my computer flahses to a black screen a few times then freezes at it.

Now even worse news. I can't uninstall any drivers because they aren't to be found, and I can't get into normal windows. The only way to access anything is through Safe Mode. What a wonderful few days . . .   .

Update: Uninstalled AGP driver, can now boot normally. Is this neccesary for running my card?

Update: For some reason it worked, and everything seems to be running normal. Going to run some tests on the card and see how it operates
