OEM partition?- help!

So i guess this... recovery partition is used for when i mess up my computer, I'ts on a netbook (aka no disk drive) and i cant install XP (currently Using Win7), i want to install XP via this drive to one of my XP partitions iv'e prepared... iv'e try'd using the "Push F2/F12 to recover" but nothing happends!, how do i use it?

Is it possible that you've previously overwritten that recovery partition? If you're hitting the button and nothing happens, then maybe the recovery partition isn't there anymore.

It's possible to install XP off of a flash drive, or you could get a USB CD drive.
