You mean OEM and Retail? An OEM dvd burner only comes with the burner and maybe a CD, the Retail (non OEM version) comes with the DVD-Burner, CD's, Documentation, and Retail box. They are the same exact burner, ones not better then another. Hope this helped.
 
yea so technically OEM comes with the drive and maby a cd, nothing else. Retail comes with the wholeeee shabang, its wat u would find at stores. with its original box and cds and cables and documentations and warranty's and everyting. everything in the retail box u would find in stores.
