Oem

With OEM you just get the drive. Retail boxes should have everything you need to connect it (in this case cables and probably a 4pin->sata power adapter)

Which one of those two should I get?:D

I can get the Rounded SATA cables instead right..that is If I go with that one.

For Hard drives, I never get them Retail. OEM is fine.

However, for Optical drives, Retail is nice, because you get software like Nero for free.

Indeed, I too go for OEM hard drives, as the cables and what not needed for them are usually provided with the motherboards I purchase.

Too late. :D I got my Samsung LightScribe as OEM. I need to buy the IDE cables now :( but I did save like 30 dollars;)

Don't you have IDE cables that came with your motherboard? Or haven't you bought one yet :)

You don't need rounded SATA cables, they are as thin as you need them already, rounded IDE cables are another story :)

And as jet said the cables must've come with your motherboard, I've yet to see a package that didn't include at least the cabling.
