Firstly, why is it 200-300 pounds? :rolleyes:

At the moment i am using a similiar word programme to the one in office but i need microsoft word for college so i can save work on USB and bring it hhome because it is not compatible. Does this mean i will have to pay that price for office just to get microsoft word.:rolleyes:
 
first it's made buy microsoft so that's why it costs so much.

second you should be able to get the student\teacher edtion for about 75 pounds I think if i am coverting right it's about $130 us

and you can get open office for free whitch is freeware and it's really good and can open MS office files
 
yeah it shold be able to open: Excel, Power Point, Word, Publisher, and more that I can't remember :) ;)
