BTW, photoshop has a free totally functional trial, for like 30 or 60 days. That works fine.
 
for those who didnt know i will be running the photoshop comp this week, this way magic can enter himself :). Now I think everyone should have a really goof stab this week to show him the true standard of cf!!!

Your'e right, when I sit back and think about it, it is so easy to put your own meaning to something and take offence when none is intended. I should know, on another thread my (strange) sense of humour caused a reply that I didn't quite expect, as it wasn't meant that way.

thank you all for voting to me.
lil bit about my pic:
i have used 3 photos
the surfer in the sea(ive cleaned the surfer man), clouds, sunshine(which is overlay)
i have used a brush for the rain.
the color is matched with a picture of the film of the day after tomorrow.

well. i just tried to make something like the picture below, but i was so tired and then ive left it like that.

just a quick word on this one, not sure what peoples thoughts would be, but i don't think there needs to be a theme necessarily for each pic, it might be whats making less people enter.

Simply a picture of something and the choice is yours on how to photoshop it, may give a little more choice for people :)

I agree, thats part of the reason I havent bothered to enter them (that, and I dont have a whole lot of free time).
 
apj101 is running this next week's competition, so for this week at least it's not my decision. But I think that a topic is nessecary for voting purposes. Otherwise the entries will be so different, trying to determine the best entry would be much harder. Plus some people need a focus to prompt their inspiration. Others work better with complete free reign, agreed, but I would imagine the biggest reason why you aren't entering, Geoff, is the time issue, not the topic issue.

Edit: Just to remind you we had 9 entries for Alien Encounter. So perhaps it's the choice of topic rather than there being a topic present at all.
