offline msn

last night i was offline and someone could see me..... does anyone know how this is done?

1. He may just guessed that you are online, I mean he could have needed you and he wrote to you, and messenger didn't reply him 'Your messages will be delivered when contact...' so he realised you are online.
2. Maybe he uses Trillian? Trillian doesn't have the ability to appear offline so it automatically recognises who is online and who isn't.
I don't see any other solution, why don't you just ask him

My friend and i do it always....appear offline and write to each other. But yes its just guessing or knowing they are really on msn.
