Right, so I transfered my Hard Drive from one PC to another, and it needed to be activated again. So I began the process until...

This Product Key has been activated the maximum ammount of times

I went and got a piece of software to bypass activation, for some reason then after my comp restarted the classic Win2k logon screen was in use and before I could do a thing it just restarted. Now I get past the POST screen and all there is is a blinking white cursor. Somehow, my HD is buggered. Anybody got any advice PLEASE?

First off, that software is illegal and against the forum rules.

Secondly, when you transfer a drive to a new PC, you'll generally need to do at least a repair reinstall of Windows. If that doesn't work, you can try reformatting the drive and reinstalling the Operating System from scratch.

If the system tells you to that you have activated the maximum number of times, give Microsoft a call. They'll ask you if you've got it currently installed on more than one PC, and provided you haven't they'll provide you with an activation code.

Microsoft

Yeah, they'll give you a new key. I used a copy of XP that came with a dell I bought through numerous reinstalls and new computers. When I would call I just told them I got a new mother board and had to reinstall.
