Hi, I'm right in the middle of building my new pc and can't install the processor because the load plate won't close. I have an intel 630 3.0ghz lga 775 socket cpu and a ASUS P5GPL-X ATX Intel Motherboard. Thanks!

It takes quite a lot of force to push the plate down, dont worry. Make sure the CPU is in the right place first, then just push hard.

Won't it bend the pins? I don't think theres supose to be any kind of resistance is there?

if you have it lined up corectly it should go down with a little force, do you have the right socket for your cpu?

yes I'm pretty sure. My cpu is Socket T (LGA 775) and so is my board.
