you know processors they have the fsb and the cache like 512k or 1mb is this how fast it takes things of the memory to read it like hard drive cache. sorry for the laak of english also what does L1 and L2 mean

This is kind of simplified but should help. L1 and L2 are cache levels. The CPU can only read directly from L1 and uses L2 (the bigger one) to hold information close by so it doesn't have to go to RAM everytime.
 
thanks also ive got the 4200 x2 but the 4400 is exactly the same clock speed but instead its got 2mb instead of 1mb will you notice the difference

they rate the PR rateing 200 points higher because of the bigger cache. You wont notice a massive difference. The 4400 has an extra 512mb l2 for each core. There is a performance increase hence the reason they can justify the extra 200
