Ok Just build a new computer and i need some help plz

Ok i just build a new computer and well i forgot to order a hard drive so i used a 750 gb from a friend so i could go ahead and install windows 7 and get my computer set up the way i wanted well my hard drive has finally come in a month after ordering it and well the problem im having is 2 things when ever i clone the drive with acronis true image when i try to make the new drive the master drive i get BOOTMGR is missing and also when i was in the bios changing the order of what to boot first its showing my Sata drives as ide can someone help me with this??

Ive had the same problem...For me, the power cable going to my HDD was loose...also you may want to check the SATA cables to make sure they work. :)
 
thanks ill give that a try!! i think after i can get this working im going to use the 1TB as my main drive and raid the other two in to RAID0 what do yall think? and if anyone else has any suggestion would be greatly appreciated!! because i still consider myself a noob
 
bumb the last fix didnt work :(

Apparently there is no standard sata driver on the harddrive. That being said I know with windows vista if that is missing it wont load windows onto your harddrive. I don't know about windows 7 Tho.
This may be a possibility.
 
thanks guys after i did the cloning i unplugged my other two drives then used the windows repair disk to repair the bootmrg error and right now im in the process of wiping my two other hdd to raid0 them as for the SATA drives showing IDE i dont know what thats about but under storage configuration they are set to AHCI ill post back when i have everthing running like i want thanks again guys
