Ive got a crappy geforce mmx440 128mb the default speeds are:
Core clock : 272 mhz

Memory clock frequency : 350 mhz

I overclocked the core clock to 300, and the memory clock to 400 using coolbits.

Is this safe, i tested it on coolbits and the computer come back on after a few seconds. Could i push it any further??

try playing a game. if you get artifacts, then no it wasn't safe.
artifacts are little graphical errors... an off color, or something like that.
preferably play the game with the highest graphics, i find that i can get my video card to 500mhz quite easily with lower graphics games... but when like AA and AF pumped in there, my graphics card really uses its potential, and the artifacts really show.
its not heat though, i haven't ever gone above 48C with my new cooler :)

you might like to upgrade that soon... no offense lol i know i got attached to my old 9800pro, and i love my 7800gt.
in fact, its still sitting in my desk. the power cable on the card got ripped off... cuz i was in a hurry... long story, i was testing with my uncles comp... but its sad, i wish i had the guts to solder it. or the need to solder it. lol 7800gt = win.

wait is that ddr350 to ddr400 or ddr700 to ddr800?
i would assume its ddr350 to ddr400 correct? lol..
wow... my graphics ram is approximately 3 times that fast.

on the video card, the ram uses mhz, and it doubles just like ddr "system" memory... and sends info at the beginning and end of each "cycle."
technically each "mhz" or "megahurtz" would be one million cycles...
and one ghz would be one billion cycles.

If you can spare some cooling for the card you can push it a bit, I got my GeForce 4 MX440 to 340MHz on the core and 415MHz on the memory. But then again I did have a 120mm fan blowing air at it with a windtunnel to concentrate the airflow. :P
