Hi,
Will it be OK to permanatly Overclock my Intel 650 fro 3.4Ghz to 3.8Ghz?

Frequencies:

CPU: 3808Ghz
FSB: 895Mhz

Temps: (Under Load)

CPU: 42*C
Mobo: 33*C
HDD: 32*C (Not O/C related, put i though id put it in anyway)

Voltages:

Vcore:
1.26v
+3.3: 3.28v
+5.0: 5.00V
+12.0: 12.03v

Theres Also the 6600GT:

579/1016
Temp: 32*C (Idle)

Can I go further with that, I just did "Detect Optimal Frequencies"

So at these readings, would It be OK for a Permanent O/C? Would the Components life be shortened Majorly, or not much?

i doubt you'll notice any shortening of the life of your components if you kept them overclocked.... put it this way, will you still be using all of those components in 5 year? i'd say most likely not

Just a question

Why would you want to overclock 3.4Ghz to 3.8Ghz?

Isnt 3.4Ghz powerfull enough for you?

dude if he's overclocking he obviously wants to maximize the amount of power he can get out of it.
btw theres NEVER enough power!

yea as long as your system never freezes or turns off suddenly you should be fine... especially watch out for the blue screen! that could be bad.
:/

you can prolong its life. if you get a decent amount of fans or better yet water cooling and keep the cpu cool, thattll keep your stuff alive for a few years yet.
