Ol' 56 gives me a present.......

Yea, i used to have a $20 chair with no cushion, it sucked, until i got this. And my school wont give me their computers either, just like any other school they think that the trash can is the place for them......poor computers, they never stood a chance......
 
I know they have good computers too, I think that next year I'm not going to ask. I think I'm just going to get my step dad to go with my and bring the truck. than just throw them in the back at about 2 am :D That's how we got a lot of the carpet in our house, we went to furniture row and went dumpster diving. Oh, and I got a big matress, it's a queen size, it's so compterfull, lol.

Hmmmmm.........Not bad : ) Ill try and find out when they are getting rid of the Dells and where. Oh and, on this peice of paper i got from school, it had a list of all the values of the school property and stuff, and it said CPU: $800 Monitor: $150. Now, im thinking that they mean CPU as the entire computer, but then i seen they had the monitor, keyboard, and mouse seperate.....so im not sure, but guessing that it means the processor, the processors in them arnt worth more then $100 now that the conroe has been released, and were only worth bout $120 before the conroe release, so that cant be it. And even counting the entire computer monitor and all only cost $500. If they ever tried to charge me $800 for those computers id laugh at them. The computers are Dell Optiplex GX280s by the way, just in case you wanna look it up, and they arnt the stand up ones neither, they dont have PCI-E and only have 2 slots for SDR ram, pretty weak.
 
Maybe I should try my old school, the rich one that I went to, they have apples and then I think those are worth more, I really don't like apple that much, but there's allways ebay, lol.

No, by CPU they mean the whole computer. Pretty much all the computer teachers in our school (for programming and the like, not hardware, thankfully) refer to the whole box as the CPU. :mad: I hate that.
 
Yes, it does annoy me also, i ALWAYS correct a teacher when they call the whole thing a CPU. And they went to college and dont know this? Pretty sad.
 
I know, you'd think they'd know what it is. I know more than my computer teacher does :D:D lol my step mom does that too, she calls the computer a CPU or a CUP and the PSP(Playstation Portable) a PCP or PZP or PNP, it annoys me sooo much, but I can't correct her because then she gets all mad and stuff.
 
I have a black leather chair,its beautiful,got it a few years about at like $800?Though my dad bought it...and i broke it a while back having it tip all the way to where my face touched the ground,yet all wheels were still touching the ground too,awesome huh?
 
I was walking by a dumpster in our apartment complex and noticed that someone was moving and they threw out all their plants. Most of them seemed dead or on the verge of dying. I adopted a lonely old cactus, which was not going to survive the cold night. It now lives happily on my TV.

On the interstates of St Louis you see tons of stuff which falls off of vehicles. I have saw, shoes, coolers, shelfs, chairs, Refrigerators and more

Yeah, MDot does an ok job in St Louis, but it's hard for them to stop traffic all the time to pick up the smaller things. Once you get out of the city they do a great job on keeping trash off of the roads!
