old computer

i have a old computer that has the xp professinal software. I cant get it accept any devices such as printers or cameras software. It want download a lot of stuff. I dont have start up disc with it. I have a newer hard drive with start up disc both are dell u think i may exchange the hard drives and it will work thanks kenny

Maybe. If you can do a repair with the OS CD, it may work. Otherwise, the older drivers would corrupt because of the chipset and motherboard changes...
