Old Data To New HD

Basically i have a new PC which i bought from MESH and i don't wan't to open it up as i will void my warranty but i would like to transfer all the data from my old HD.

My old PC still runs but only in Safe mode, in normal mode the screen goes blank.

My question is, my new PC has e-SATA ports so if i were to get an "e-SATA to SATA" cable, could i turn my old PC on to power the old HD but run the SATA cable to my new PC via the e-SATA slot, will it recognise the old HD on my new PC and i could transfer it that way?

hey, I used to hook my old sata hard drive to my new computer and I could access the hardrive and copy and move the files, so I know its possible... as for which cable you need im not sure, so you can have hope
 
You could turn your computer to safe mode with networking, create an ISO image and put it on a network, or an external hard drive...
