old Hard Drive to new PC?!

soo, i bought a new computer in parts... one of the only things i didn't buy was a Hard Drive, bcuz they are just so getting up in price (and im already -200e on the computer)... so i was just wondering if my Hitachi Deskstar (SATA) would go into my new computer (i do also have an IDE Hard Drive, but i don't think that will go...):

Case : Cooler Master HAF 912 PLUS (Specs)
CPU :AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition (CPU-Z)

RAM : Valueram/4GB 1333MHz DDR3 Non-ECC DIMM x2
CD/DVD Drive : SMG DVDROM 16X Black SATA Bulk

Yeah you can use your old drive. You'll have to format the drive and reinstall Windows though.
