Old Laptops Projects? Uses? Cool ideas?

I have a question for people who know what they are doing, and have creative minds.

I got several used laptops from a guy. They are old and range from PI's to PII's. No higher than 96MB ram, I don't have all of the specs on speed.

My question is what should I do with them? A few of them are the same model, can i take ram out of one to upgrade another. And what should I do from there? I have a wireless network at home, and have plenty of time on my hands. I am looking for a real poject to do to really get the most out of these old machines.

Any opinions?

I make picture frames with old laptops. I take the guts out of the chassis, build a nice wood frame, mount the screen with the guts behind it (similar to an iMac) and run picture programs that show slide shows of photographs I take. Works like a charm.
 
Get a briefcase and build tha laptop into it. Don't use any of the laptop casing, make your own mounts and stuff. It will be a briefcase computer :P And still working as well.
 
I like the car idea!

I eventually want to get a GPS system put into my laptop (well, it'll be here monday...it came last wednesday...but i wasnt ehre to sign for it...and the ups messed it up...long story...lol)

But the idea of having a laptop with GPS equipped laptop mounted in your car, haha i love it!
 
make them all into mini media centre pc's, install geexbox linux on them, connect to TV and you have access to all your media files from your pc (so long as the network cards are supported)!
