Old Nvidia driver detects TV new one doesn't?

I have an Nvidia 7900 GS which detects and outputs to my analogue TV properly when I'm running the 93.71 driver.

However, when I upgrade to the latest driver 197.13 it no longer detects the TV?

I'm running Win XP fully updated. In Nvidia control panel I've tried "rigorous" display detection and selected "Force TV detection" yet the TV option doesn't show up. TV is plugged into S-Video out and works perfectly on the old drivers - wtf !?

It's a pain as I need the new driver to play games and the old driver to watch movies on the TV :(
 
What a pain in the ass... :P

Have you notified Nvidia tech-support? Perhaps they'll release a fix for the driver soon... I don't know what else to tell ya, except to continue swapping drivers depending on what you need to do... :confused:
