older pc game suggestions

i'm looking for some games to play on my pc. i like rpgs and fps. but, i really want games that will run smoothly on my system. so, i'm looking for games that you guys think are really good.

i'm upgrading my computer so soon (hopefully) this will be my specs:

3.2 P4
1.5 ish RAM
radeon 9600 se gold edition

yeah. any suggestions. they can be older games. thanks alot.
 
an older fps that i liked were the battlefield 1942-which is ten bucks for all of them. and fable was a really good rpg that works on my sisters comp which is a penium 4 with an fx 5600

also if you like rts games at all 7th Legion was probably one of my favorites
 
a old RPG I LOVED and I mean LOVED

Diablo 2 LOD....you can also download fan-based mods like Median XL or Median 2008 which change the game...I played normal D2 for about 4 years online....then I play Median XL/08 for a few years now.


Another good FPS is Far Cry and Call of Duty (first one)
 
Yeah Diablo 2 is an amazing game and runs on about any system. Check out games like Medal of Honor, Call of Duty, Counter-Strike 1.6 etc.

There is a offline its just as much fun as online cept you can't pvp offline since no one to fight.

Also Median mods have online private servers (google for them) and offline play for the Median mods is simply fantastic.

I would advise you not to try the Median mods till you run through Diablo 2 normally. It will make you appreciate both games.


Median mods change everything about Diablo 2 except it uses the same maps (added a few levels) and made it horribly hard and fantastic.
 
go with 2GB ram just to help it along doesnt hurt the budget much But Dialbo is my fave older gen game

phycho toxic (remembered running on p4 3ghz, 512mb, x300se and it keeps on freezing) but since you have 1.5gig ram it should be ok.

your 9600se is probly the same performance as x300se.
 
Warcraft 2: Dark Portal is good. I've only played the demo, but it's a lot of fun.

If you really wana talk about old, go with Blake Stone: Aliens of Gold or Hero's Quest (also known as Quest for Glory)
