Olivetti laptop

Hey all. This is my first post in this forum, and as my username suggests, I'm really doing it for Mum who would take 16 years to work out how to use a forum..lol

Basically, I'm looking for some rather obscure advice for her and just wondered if anyone here would be able to help her.

About 100 years ago (more or less) she bought a pink Olivetti laptop, that became obsolete, of course, very quickly.

She is very attached to it, it hasn't worked in years, and what she essentially wants to know is if there is any way something can be done to it - in terms of new hard drive, memory, software, operating system, anything, to make it usable. She doesn't want internet connection or anything really particularly useful on it - she just wants it to power up and work, so that her grandkids can play simple games on it.

I'll get some more info from her about it's current features, but she can't even power it up at this stage. She understands that it's pretty pointless and going to cost a fair bit if anything can be done, but she just loves it, and won't let it go!

Any ideas? Thanking you in advance. :D

dont power up? at all? may be the motherboard or something..

he already said it's a Olivetti, just need the model..

Lol...yeah, probably should give you guys some more details first, huh? Shall call the mother and find out more...

Ok. It's an Olivetti Notebook Echos 44 Colour. She bought it in 1995!!!
