olympus 820 memory card?!?!?!

I was just wondering, when buying a memory card for my olympus 820 does it matter what make it is?? I know its a XD card but does it matter whether its type H or is the other M and whether it can be kodak make or does it have to be olympus??

About the only limitations with most memory cards would be the actual interface(SD, xD, whatever...) and the size. The type(speed, model) and brand usually doesn't make a difference.

Look in your manual to find out what your size limitation is, if you even have one.
 
With the XD (which is what your camera uses), there are a few different versions that are used to take advantage of different functions. For instance, if you want to take panoramic pictures, then you want to have a particular type (H or M) of card. I'm not sure of all the options (I have a Kodak camera), but I believe that's what the different letter types are for. As for brands, anything is going to be fine, just make sure that the card you're buying isn't too big for the camera to be able to read... (Your manual will tell you the maximum card size...)
