Omfg??? Runescape Lags?

No no im not a BIG or MEDIUM runescape fan, I just do it to mainly test out my compys and stuff... Amazingly My Intel P4 PC100/133 1.3GHz overclocked to 1.43Ghz 448MB ATI Rage fury pro128 actually LAGS when just standing still in a FULL server. My Laptop, a Intel Celeron 1.3Ghz, 256MB RAM, runs PERFECT! Both use windows xp pro sp2
 
First thing I noticed was that you are using PC100/133 ram in a P4, I didn't even know that was possible. :P

Runscape is probably laggy because it was a full server... just about any computer can play it smoothly. If it was lagging your actual computer, as opposed to gameplay, then it's probably due to having that RAM and running XP.

or background stuff eating your cpu/mem
 
It's alright it's only a really crappy game your missing out on, I know it sucks, trust me I have played.

Anyway if your in a full server it will usualy lag, it doesn't really matter, just try not to spend loads of time in full servers, when I used to play I played with Swift Switch and always picked the emptyiest server.

For one it's not the PC itself, its your internet connection. Actually it might be a bottleneck between your Ethernet speed and the speed of the internet. Either way it's no the CPU or anything, I've seen people play that game on 8 year old PCs. That's like a PII with 64MB of RAM. Trust me. It aint your comp that's laggin' it out! :P

ya i agree. i might not no much about bottlenecks and crap but im learning. he's rite i have also seen people with 8 year old pc's wihth 32mb or ram so dont worry. i used to play runescape and i go on and off it depends on my mood. Warhero1992 is my handle add me im not on alot maybe 2 or 3 times every month.:):mad::D:cool::eek::o:P:(:confused:;):rolleyes:
 
Well I'm sorry if that offended you. I'm just suprised. Its an ECS Elitegroup Socket 423 Motherboard that uses PC100/133. Yes I have posted that question the very first time I joined. I think PC Eye told me that ECS did have enough cash to get to the DDRs... And I'm pretty sure its not my internet connection, SBC DSL. I can play runescape at the same time (actually 4 timmes) and no lags. Its amazing. If it IS the ram problem does that mean thats why my computers so slow? Its even overclocked!
 
I'm moving and that in Houston... also that one doesnt have an Wireless 802.11G ethernet card =) I have not tried it on that PC yet.... I dont even think it knows what Java is! I just like my compy cuz ive been with it so long...
