I HATE MY COMPUTER!!

Turned it on when I got home from school, boots onto windows, and it restared, blue screen, usuall jumble of words.

So, reset, and it does the usuall..... Wont go past the BIOS, or does go pst the BIOS but windows loading screen doesnt show.

Unplugged it, reset CMOS, that usually sorts it. Boot up, and the ASUS voice warning thing tells me that CMOS has been rest due O/Cing. Problem was, it wasnt overclock at that time...

Go back 30 mins later, It gets to windows! Go into start menu, freezes. Damn it.

Tried again. This time the graphics card doesnt work, screen still on standby. Checked all cables, works again. Gave up. Came here.

Now, before you all start saying MEMTEST! NO! My floppy drive doesnt work, so I cant do it.

This is really starting to annoy me now, all the drivers are at their latest, I think its RAM or GFX.

BTW: The little lever on the PCI-E Slot is broken off, will this affect it?

Any more suggestions?

seems to me as if the mobo is slowly dying, you said you were experiencing problems witht he gfx card aswell, well, its not likely to be everything going wrong, so wahts the common factor.... MOBO!!!! And yeh, i was just about to shoyut MEMTEST at you, but then i read that part.....lol

BTW: The little lever on the PCI-E Slot is broken off, will this affect it?
No, this is purely a mechanical device to fix the card in securelty, as long as it is screwed into the case aswell it will be fine...

yep, think I might do that lol

Tried again,

Got to "problem loading windows"

Start windows normally>

Blue screen error, something about BIOS not being ACPI something or other.

Now it doesnt work again!

EDIT: I THINK I HAVE FOUND THE PROBLEM!!!

GOD DAMN CRAPPY POOP CORSAIR VALUE CRAP RAM! (i think lol)

I took 1 stick out from slot B1 (For dual channel i had them in A1 & B1) and guess what, booted up OK, working fine so far.

I did notice that the little lever on one end was open more from the RAM in A1, so the RAM in B2 must of been sitting up higher...... C

ould this be a problem? Ill try the RAM in different slots, and if i find that the 512MB ive taken out doesnt work, im goin for my LIFETIME WARRANTY!! Wooooo go corsair lifetime warranty!
