well i got my Q6600. I thought my X2 quite fast, i just finished installing my new Q6600 and OMG, im shocked, i so cant beleave how quick it is, got it running at 3.2 GHz and runs really well.

yeh i noticed a difference form my 6000+ x2-!

i also noticed it didnt heat the room up like the 6000+ did lol!!!

faster and consumes less power what more could you ask for

I'm going to go Quad core for my next build, and a friend of mine has a quad core and he said it flies wtih XP and still very quick with vista.

its too bad core i7 will be out within the next year (maximum) and that will support 8 software threads... 4 cores with multi-threading (like hyperthreading)..

thats a lot of processing power

its a good upgrade for the motherboard though, that's why i bought one lol

Let me tell you from experience to definitely go with the Q6600. It can be easily overclocked up to and past the Q6700's stock settings. And my Q6700 so far has seemed to be a bum overclocker, stuck on 3.0 GHz with this damn thing

Get the Q6600.
