Onboard Graphics

I don't know anyone who uses onboard graphics and I have always used a video card so my question is Aren't you paying for the onboard graphics that your not using. Is there motherboards that don't have onboard graphics so you can get more bang for your buck?

Yeah some boards don't have the VGA, DVI and HDMI out ports, but generally when I buy a CPU and board which I know I'm going to be using a dedicated graphics with, I don't care about on the onboard graphics, I care more about the performance of the CPU (though onboard graphics are handy to have in case anything goes wrong with your GPU).

Plus new Intel and AMD APUs have the onboard on the CPU itself. The boards just have the ports. AMD doesnt even have AM3+ 900 chipsets with onboard video anymore
