Hi,
I've got a quad core ACER inspire m3201 computer and until the other day had no problems. Recently though I noticed that my core usage display I have on my sidebar was displaying one of the CPU's as running at near on 100% the entirety of the time. I've restarted and system restored to before the problem, but sure enough, about an hour and a half after turning it on, this happens and the whole computer becomes very slow as a result.
The only thing I could think of doing was somehow disabling one of the cores, the one that's doing this, but I don't even know if its possible. I need help as its really affecting my work having to restart the computer ever couple of hours to get a decent speed out of it.
PLEASE HELP if you can
Adam

Try using ctrl+alt+del to open up the task manager. Now look in here and try and find all unnecessary tasks and end them. It should also display which process is using up the most resources so you can find the culprit.
