one hell of a virus

hi all again well ive been dealing with this virus for half a year now and this virus is by far the most inteligent virus ive encountered so far its evaded all my attempts to find it its wiped out my entire music colection 3 times now and destroyed my 2 gig creative labs muvo v100 mp3 player so far it seems to focus on my music ive reinstalled the music on diffrent drives and folders and everytime the virus hunts it down and corrupts the entire drive ive reformated the whole computer and still it remains on top of it every time i reboot it starts sharing all my hard drives and i was wondering if anyone else here has ever seen or heard of a virus simmilar to this and these symptoms any help is greatly appreciated thanks

wow , well iono if it seems like if u keep getting the virus get a new HDD, and not use what ever program u use to dld music .

Well if you did a true reformat and install a virus cant magically come back, your either doing the same thing over again that caused you to get it in the first place or your saving something thats reinfecting it. What kind of Antivirus software are you using?

well ok ive been using avg antivirus i have norton 2006 installed ive used online scanners and those get shut down the second the scan starts im thinking its not a virus that resides on the hd or even in the mbr but more likely a memory resident not to mention its also gone thru my network to my aunts computer but i really want to know is if anyone has heard or been a victim of this virus

Like stated above. If you have done a complete reinstall, The virus does not magically re-appear.

Either you are downloading music somewhere and getting the virus back from there.

Did you ever even consider the possibility that the virus is on your aunt's computer and getting on yours over the network? Hence the reason it keeps coming back?

ok i know the virus wont magicly reappear but there are places for a virus to hide like the mbr but ok the last install i did was on my aunts computer i reformated the drive fdisked the mbr and took it off the network completely isolated computer reinstalled windows 2000 the very first time it got to an operable screen i checked the c drive and it was being shared so where else could this virus be all i did was the above no more no less i didnt install anything other than the os so where i ask where is this virus ? or whats wrong here ?
