I've not got MoH, but have had no problems at any point and any of the systems in my house, any consoles, playing any games or just browsing. It is more likely to be either your area, or your ISP. Who do you have your net with?

Not a clue mate, ive honestly not played MOH since it came out.

what do you mean "my internet going down"..you mean like the whole thing or just not able to connect to the MOH servers or getting disconected?

Nev the whole lot goes down my wifes included.Aastii i'm with Freeola dot.com,been with them for over 3yrs found it in Computeractive mag.

Dont know if anybody will be there on a Sunday but i will give it a go,let you know what happens, cheers.

Aastii they sent me an email telling me to check my phone line, check my modem and a bunch of other crap which i dont know what they are talking about.

If you don't understand what they are asking, copy + paste the email here and we will translate it to simpler terms, step by step, or, if for whatever reason you don't want the email to be for all to see, pm me and I'll help you out over that instead between just me and you :)

@Tapash, before carrying on at the forums, read the forum rules, specifically the one regarding sending a user directly to google, rather than answering the question. As simple netiquette; if you don't know the answer, or can't contribute anything relevant and constructive, don't post at all

Aastii they want me to take the top off the little box that you plug your modem into, the one that your phone goes in.As you know i dont know anything about all this stuff, they said try another modem as if i have them sitting around.I thought it might have been the game but it seems like its going to get complicated so its a job for my son when he comes down. Thanks
for the help offered.:)

Do you mean the white box with 3 wires in:

1 to your phone line, 1 to the phone itself, 1 to the modem/router?

If so, that is just an ADSL splitter, it basically is what makes the difference between broadband and dial up, it allows you to use your phone + internet at the same time. If you don't have a spare, you can pick them up for a quid or 2 from any computing shops, and I'm pretty sure most supermarkets or DIY stores will have them too. If not I'm sure I've got about 4 or 5 spare kicking about, they are tiny and weigh next to nothing, I'll post you one for a few p, will save you all the hassle of dissecting one. I don't need them any more either anyway because we are on cable, not ADSL, so isn't a loss, may as well help you out if I can, you will get more use than I ever will

Aastii mate thanks for the offer and as you said you are on cable they have it installed
down my road,is it better, cheaper and who are you with.

We went from ADSL with sky, to Cable with Virgin. We were on 10Mb/s with Sky, and started out with 20Mb/s with Virgin for ~18 months, then upgraded to 50Mb/s

With Sky, we had a hell of a lot of problems; the fastest we would get constantly was ~4Mb/s, and between 8pm-4am just about every night the net would go completely. We went and cancelled with them as soon as the contract was up, and swapped TV, phone and broadband to Virgin.

With the package we have, I think it works out at about £30 a month for the broadband with the TV/phone for 50Mb, was £22 for 20Mb. We constantly got 20Mb/s, and now constantly get 50Mb/s, and if you were to pay for just broadband, I think it is cheaper than what we pay, it is about £13/month for 10Mb/s, £20 for 20Mb/s, £25 for 50Mb/s

With Sky we were paying £10/month for 10Mb/s, or so said the bill, as I say, we were actually paying £10 for 4Mb/s

I dont know how the hell everyone but us gets decent deals,i pay £37 a month just for my 20mb virgin connection + the phone rental & bills on top....we phoned Virgin but they said they cannot offer us any deals as we are not new customers which is bloody pathetic!

WHAT ABOUT YOUR EXISTING CUSTOMERS VIRGIN????

it's more likely to happen if you're out in the sticks. We get problems with our ISP dropping out once every day or so. It's part of being in the UK... don't you just love it!
