Im aware of the tech guide for troubleshooting a computer that will not start or post. I will check it. BUT my question related if i start the computer just a black screen. If i turn the computer off and back on it always starts. Has been this way for a few months. Just starts the 2nd time.
Any ideas?

Had that problem too, it has something to do with some settings in bios.
If you got an intel, let speedstep on, enable overvoltage Pll and use offsets.
disable all other power saving features.

I'll take a look at the settings so thanks for the reply. The part that makes me wonder is because ive had for 5 or 6 yrs and always worked.

Try resetting the CMOS and reset the BIOS back to defaults.

Is anything overclocked?

Yeah just reset the BIOS and CMOS. Can you try another power supply? What power supply are you using at the moment?
