Opening Documents

When I open attatchments from an email (e.g Application form) it opens in Microsoft Word 2007, but it's just a trial version that came with my laptop - therefore it won't let me do anything with the opened document!

How do I change it so that when I open the attatchment, Microsoft Works opens the document for example?

Right click the file-->"open with"-->"choose program".
Now select Microsoft works as default and apply all changes.
Now restart your mail client, and it will work

edit : save the attachment somewhere first then do the above.
when done you can simply double click from within your mail client
 
There wasn't the option to 'Open With' when I right clicked the attached file, I saved it to desktop then right clicked and open with to MS Works, but it came out slightly distorted missing lines of text, guess it was made to be opened in Word....
