Opening ports?

Ok, I'm running Windows Vista Home Premium, I have a 768k wireless broadband connection (connecting straight to the ISP), no router, windows firewall turned off. What I need to do is somehow open up TCP port 7000, and UDP ports 6000-6010. I have absolutely no idea how to do this though, anyone?

if your firewall is turned of every port you've got is open...
and another thing you've got a virus... check your pc with avast or something.

You can't just have a direct connection to the internet and don't have any security software.

Well I scanned for viruses, not one found (scanned with AVG Free), all spyware (tracking cookies and registry entries) removed via Spybot S&D. Here's what my security center looks like, (top pic), and what I get with an online port scan (bottom pic)

ohw you've got vista...
but still if your firewall is off then all your ports should be open...
unless avg or windows defender is keeping them closed.

i've done some reading now. windows defender can block some listening ports
dig around in in the settings.
if that doesn't solve it it's probably your isp who's blocking.

you have to be stupid to keep your computer opened up like that. youre asking for trouble... firewalls off... you got things out of date, automatic update is off... jeez man. why do you want your computer like this? its so insecure.
