Operating system question

Right i have a Windows 7 computer and im quite bored of the whole Windows theme, i have just bought a 1TB HDD and i am thinking about putting a different operating system on it, would it be possible? How do i go about doing it? What would be a good operating system?

Are you bored just because of the windows 7 theme? There are lots of themes available on the Internet. You don't need an extra Hard disk to run another OS. If you are looking for an OS, I would recommend you Mac, but I doubt whether it works with W7.

OSX will work with windows in Dual boot. I've seen it done before. The school's laptops run both without problem (win. 7 and OSX)

I dont think it is technically legal to install a MacOS on pc hardware.

I too would also recommend a Linux based os. i have always been happy with them except for the lack of hardware compadibility. go with a theme change instead

I cant tell if you are being sarcastic about debian and suse or not.

I'm not sarcastic Suse, Debian and Fedora are really good systems I used many different distributions and they were very stable.
