operating system that is the fastest?

What's the fastest operating system? Mac right with the boot time. Or is there another one?

It all depends on preference. personally i would use a computer with windows for work, and for anything i do at home. but that is my preference.

It also depends a lot on what you have installed on the computer. if you have just installed the o/s then it will be faster than something with loads of programs running when the computer starts up.

and your hardware. my netbook with xp boots up super fast. my linux boxes take longer to boot. my desktop with xp64 not as long as xp.... all have different hardware though completely so hard to say whats at fault...
