i have had my system crash and i can't get it to load out of partition to load drives for new cd burner

Can you be a bit clearer, are you trying to load a system recovery partition ?

my windows is stored on partition so i have to get it off the partition to run on my computer no like it used to be when they sent windows disk

There is usually a hot key to activate recovery partition, what make of pc do you have ?

On the BIOS splash screen it usually says what keyboard button key needs to be pressed to start the recovery.
