Opinion about my wish item

well i will say its not bad at all for the price. i was at wal mart yesterday and saw this comp actually. its nothing special, but sometimes this is all someone wants. for light computing and saving urself the time of a self build, i say its good.
 
yea, it shouldnt be a problem. just make sure the socket is the same when u buy the athlon. im pretty sure this comp has a 754 socket. and yes, they make athlons with this socket type. if u get this comp, pm me and let me know how it is for you.
 
The sempron is for socket 754, so the highest athlon you will be able to upgrade to is the 3700. Thats still a good processor, but for the athlon socket 754 has been phased out.
 
yea, 34erd makes a valid point here. depending on when u plan on upgrading to the athlon could effect this. if u plan on immediately getting the athlon, then that good. but if u wanted to wait like 2 yrs before getting the athlon, by that time, the 3700 may be way behind in thw world of processors. just something to think about. thanks 34erd. :)
