Opinions for Toshiba Satellite Model 2800, Series S201

I'm new to this world of laptops and would like some advice on the following system :

Toshiba Satellite Model 2800, Series S-201
original purchase date Jan , 2000

Intel Celeron processor 646 MHz
192 MB of RAM
6BB Hard Disc Drive

An upgraded operating system from the OEM of Windows Millenium Edition to Windows XP Professional 2002 , Service Pack 1.

Internet ready with 10/100 ethernet port
DVD-ROM

When just powered up ,system tells me : Hard drive 2.54 free of 5.58 gigabytes .

Plan to use for internet surfing , DVD's , school papers , school projects that require PowerPoint presentations , perhaps some games for the kids .

Any comments ? Any suggested upgrades ?
 
It's pretty decent. I may have repaired a couple but it wasn't a model that got sent in for repair alot. Not the fastest CPU in the world but fine for basic functions. DVD's may play a little shaky and so might some newer games. But the other stuff should be fine. If it can go any higher on RAM then max it out.
