Opinions on Gigabyte 890FXA-UD5. This might be the one I'm going to buy.

Awesome, but I just noticed it has on-board graphics. I thought the FX series didn't have IGP.

Yeah that's where I found the board, but went to compusa because there is a store about an hour from me, but from the looks of it, it may be an online- only order.

How the hell do I PM? I wanted to ask you if you can tell a difference with physx and what does it exactly do?

the card acts as a dedicated physx card. so when a games is using physx, the card will do all of the processing and take a MASSIVE load off of the cpu. but only a small amount of games will use physx so unless you can get a great deal on a card, it probably isn't worth it.

with games that can use the physx card, you definitely can tell the difference seeing as how you can see the extra eye candy you normally can't with just an ati card.

Alright, thanks a lot man, you've helped a lot. Gonna buy a second 5770 vapor-x, that's the whole reason I need a new motherboard. Can't really afford a $600 video card right now but I would love to.

same stuff only with two timings bumped up one notch (which you can do in the bios). i don't really think it is worth the extra $5.

you can lower the cas latency in the bios (if you look at the specs, that is what the 7-8-7-24 is, the first 7 being the cas latency).
