Opinions on my new pc

Go with an AMD 64 3200+ or 3500+ venice, and with the savings buy a better video card (at least a 6600GT), and try to get a SATA hard drive since there only a few bucks more.

thanks for replies

I already have the hard drive and cd drive a case and monitor, the cpu, mobo, memory, psu, and vid card ran me a total of 649.02 after shipping all from newegg. I was gonna get a 3200 but spent another 60 to get the 1mb cache and different core. Isnt the San Diego core better than the Venice? And I know I kinda skimped on the vid card but my current pc seems to have broken down so I went ahead and bought what I had in my wish list(as long as it isnt defective or total crap it'll work for me Im no extreme gamer but I wish I woulda dropped another what 20 bucks or 30 prolly and got a gt from a better co. like xfx but this is my first build so mistakes will happen.

Thanks for the replies

BTW this is an upgrade from a p3 1gz, 512mb pc133, 32mb geforce 2 mxf440 and psu from a 40 dollar case that cant find a co. name for (the ultimate generic)
