hi i have recently spilt water on to my laptop keyboard, by mistake of course, i am stillabile to type because i have an external key board but the prob is the laptop F1 key seems to be stuffing up because help opens up about 50 times or more at one time which then freezes my computer, so if some nice person could tell me how to fix this problem

I did this once and lost all my sound, a few small lies to Dell and they came and put a new Mobo in my inspiron laptop,I have 3 years on site cover but if you don't then try PM'ing laptop extreme if you don't get a reply in this thread as he seems pretty clued up on Laptop issues.

have a look at the terms and conditions of your warranty... some manufacturer's allow for cover for accidental damage. i know acer will cover for all accidental damage except for the lcd

the warranty has run out i think so is there a way of say disabling the keyboard or maybe removing the f1 key chip
