Does anyone here own an Opteron 146 CAB2E Processor?

If they do, can they tell me what cooling their using and how high they have managed to OC them!

what type of frequency are you looking for? a water cooling system would probably do best :)
if not then a thermaltake big typhoon would be good.
 
No, im asking if anyone has a 146 and what their cooling with / clock speed
so that i can get an average OC ,and then beat them all with my one!- (joke)

EDIT: Sorry, don't have a Opty 146 but the cooling depends on what kind you want. Air, water, phase change? Silent or does noise matter?

no, im not after cooling advice, ive allready got it fully water cooled, i jsut want to know what sort of speeds can be achieved with certain cooling do that i can dicide whether or not its a good chip.

I've an opty 146. I got mine from 2.0ghz to 2.7ghz on 1.45v and 2.8ghz on 1.55v. I have a big heat sinc and decent sized fan on the processor AND have a 120mm fan blowing in the direction of the 3 heat sincs on my mobo. (for some reason this helps like crazy for cooling). Anyway, at 2.7ghz, I get 32-33C idle, and something like 44 load.
 
Ive allready got the Opteron- and i allready have a different dual core PC-

the opteron is a 146 CAB2E 0602 GPWK (i think)
 
Well theres no definite way of finding out high how you can go except going there. I googled your stepping though, it looks really good. People were getting around 2.8 Ghz stock volts. Of course thats no indication as to what you'll go to, it also depends on your skill, motherboard, RAM, and just luck.
