Opteron 170 or X2?

'm deciding on a CPU and I'm looking at either the Opteron 170 or the X2 3800. Any thoughts? From what I've seen the Opteron looks to be the way to go because of the 1MB Cache.

The X2 3800 has 1Mb of L2 cache, 2x512Kb.

But the Opteron...

Has 2mb when you add it's 1mb x2 = 2mb

Someone like Praetor would know a lot more about the performance of Opterons.

The Opteron would be better because it has better chance to overclock generally. Also, the cache but that doesn't matter much.

normally people compare opteron 165 vs x2 3800, and the conclusion is that opteron 165 is more favourable

but now you are comparing opteron 170 vs x2 3800,
so my point is that opteorn 170 is a much better and bit more expensive choice...

opteron 170 i think can be overclocked all the way up to 3.0Ghz...
