Greetings All,

.......Ran into a problem here tonight as i have run into the past...i have a dvd rom disc that will display it's contents on my dells running xp pro but, when i insert the dvd into the dvd reader/writer in my home "brew computer" (biostar MB) (3.4gb, 2gb's ram, win xp pro, plenty of hd space and ram), the disc (contents) are not recognized.....there are no hidden files or folders and just to play it safe, i have adjusted that in the file/folder settings...

........it is the correct disc (+/-, etc) for the optical drive (DVD) and the drive is set and has already remained the same re: region...What is the problem here?......THANKS!

Sounds like the drive is dead, pull it and try it on another machine to confirm.

*************

thanks for the reply...

....incorrect - drive works fine for other discs (dvd) but, for some reason not this particular dvd which, plays in all my other computers.....

Occasionally you'll find that one particular DVD player will not like one particular brand of discs. If the player otherwise functions normally and has no issues with any other discs I would say this is the case.
