Orange Box 2 Theory

Me and a friend were talking about L4D2 and thought of a possible rather interesting thing valve may be planning.

they are talking quite a bit about L4D2, portal 2 and HL2 ep3, so we thought maybe The orange box 2 with those games in, and ofcourse HL2, HL2 ep 1 and 2 etc much like The Orange Box had. Thoughts?

Actualy yes you could be right,I think they will sell L4D2 and maybe Portal 2 seperate to start with though for a bit.

They should just make one Big Orange Box that has the most popular Valve titles in it.

They have that, its called the black box or something. Had like every single one of their games.

Regardless, As successful as the orange box was, I doubt that they would do it again. There were a lot of complaints how people had two HL2s and stuff. Plus they make a ton more revenue if they sell the games separate. If there was an orange box 2, I think there would be a whole lot more advertisement by now too.

Not like it matters, half life 2 ep 3 isnt coming out for another 6 years XD...no, Im not calling valve slow, not at all.

My two cents.

valve hasnt said anything at all about portal 2 or hl2ep3 other then that they will exist.
I expect l4d2 to be released with announcements of there next release coming after that. its not like valve to have 2 different projects competing with each other for media attention

Given that L4D2 actually has a release date, and the other games are clearly still early in development, I don't see this happening.
