ok, so I have an OEM copy of XP on my hard drive which means I don't have the OS disc. I bought a 120GB HDD. How would I transfer an OS over to the HDD. Or, could I make a OS CD myself?

If its going into the same machine i would reccomend just get GHOST and put the image of the old hdd onto the new one and then you have everythign the same and dont lose a thing.

thats a good idea but I don't want to pay $70 to back up a HDD.

Well... there isn't any other way to do it, unless you pay for ghost... otherwise, you have to install the OS and transfer the files yourself.
That's the only way... unless you can find a copy of ghost form someone.

put the 120gb drive in as a slave drive
copy the OEM on to it.
open the install file
make sure you save it to the 120GB slave drive
take out the primary drive
put the 120GB HD in as primary
copy the OEM on to it.
open the install file
make sure you save it to the 120GB slave drive
