OTG 3G Modem.

So I have a 3g usb modem and i'm trying to connect it to my phone (LG G4)
The problem is that all the methods require ROOT,which i'm afraid to install on the G4 because it has all the bootloop issues and if i need warranty i would be f-ed.
Any solutions to this?
 
Do you not have a data plan?

You might be able to hang it off of a Pi or similar in order to route 3G between wired ethernet, and then broadcast it using another access point.

Probably more convenient and less expensive to just data plan the G4.

I have a data plan ,but it's only 2 GB, and the 3G modem I get for free from my internet provider
 
Any reason you can't put the SIM from your modem into your LG G4? Can you upgrade your modem from a 3G USB to an LTE WiFi hotspot?
