Out with Chrome, Back to Firefox

Been having shockwave flash errors in Chrome for a long time now (like many others) and have "fixed" it no less than 5 times....yet the problem persists.

So today I finally said **** it and decided to part ways with Chrome. Opted to go with Firefox, which I haven't used in a couple years. The first 10 or 15 minutes was a little strange and felt sluggish in comparison, but I quickly got over that and now I'm loving it. Definitely not regretting the switch.

It's too bad the flash issue has yet to be resolved. Such a stupid problem to have.

That makes me sad. Firefox is okay, but chrome is awesomeness, would put it in my sig if I had room. I've never come across a flash problem.

I've not had issues with Chrome crashing on me. Were you using any third-party themes or extensions that may have been causing the crashes?

Personally I can't see a difference in speed between Firefox and Chrome, they're both pretty fast, but I do prefer Firefox's UI. They are both pretty good browsers. Hopefully Firefox is more stable for you.

I just prefer Chrome as I just feel it is faster than FF, I also haven't got an problem with Chrome till now.
I use third party apps and themes still no problem.
BTW I love the FF themes, they are just too beautiful :).

I've seen this problem on my dad's rig. He's running XP and idk wth is going on but some things on flash on work. I like Chrome's simplicity and the fact that I don't have a thousand plugins running in the background which slows firefox down for me. After a new clean install of windows, I didn't even bother installing FF.

Idk how to fix that flash problem either, tried re-installing chrome and such. On Windows 7, I have no problems with Chrome.

Windows 8 build 8102 here with no problems. Granted, Chrome's little green update arrow has been nagging me for a few days. Now it scares me.

No, I hadn't been using any third-party themes or extensions to my knowledge. Barebones Chrome, or barely so with the most common, basic plugins.

Chrome seems a little snappier to me, but Firefox is plenty quick enough. I'm already used to FF, so I have no problems with any perceived speed difference. Have had no problems with FF's stability or any other issues, and don't expect any. By the way, my Chrome flash issues was on my netbook running 32-bit Win7 Starter. Still running Chrome on my Win7 Home desktop with no problems. May switch over to FF on that just so I'm consistent.

A little surprised that not many people on here have had flash problems in Chrome, as I was under the impression it was a very common problem during all the times I searched for a fix. Can't complain though, it's a good thing that not many on here are aware of it. Thanks for the comments. :)

One thing I have noticed with Chrome is that Facebook is REALLY zoomed in for some reason. FF doesn't do that, basically the only reason why FF is still installed I switched off of it a while ago because I was having some compatibility issues...

that happened to me a few times, but most of the time it works fine. It is much better than firefox which I used to use but switched over long time ago.

Off the wall... I've started using Opera as my primary browser. There are some sites that simply will not display correctly. However, most of the time it works very well. Hehe...and it's not even so much I was having issues with Firefox, but was simply getting fed up with all those darn updates!

I tried Chrome for a while...I was getting very targeted adds and some pop-ups. It got very slow for me after about a month. I ran CCleaner but that did not help the speed issue. I tried Opera and have never looked back, I love it!

I'm using Chrome on WinXP at the moment, no Flash plugin problems. Actually I never had any problems with Chrome (and none with FF too...)

Build 8250 is so much better man, jk, but i have an issue with chrome were pandora likes to crash every once and a while, but that happens sometimes on my other computer too. Also, it never has a green arrow to update?!?!?! (can't wait for 1st week of june, final beta release)

Nevermind, little orange arrow on settings button, wondered what that was, wasn't there a while ago, and said would update on relaunch

Chrome handles lousy if you browse with many tabs, like i do. I tried switching browsers, but chrome has the best extensions. Photo viewer and google dictionary are two of the extensions i just can't live without.
Firefox seems just too massive for my taste. I'd rather prefer Opera, but still, it lacks my precious extensions..

My Chrome was not working properly so I've now gone onto firefox.

You should really consider trying opera. It's awesomely fast compared to a fully overwheight chrome. I just installed opera because i need it to cross-browser test my webpage, and the difference between the speed of chrome and opera is imense. Plus, if you are an many-tabs brows.. browseur* like me, opera seems better, because is designe to work better with many tabs. Chrome handles poorly many tabs.
