Outlook 2003 -> Outlook 2007?

My mum's got a new pc with XP Home. She's currently using Outlook 2003 on her old pc and relies on it heavily having thousands of work related emails and multiple email accounts.

What's the best way of transferring all the settings across to 2007?
 
If she's trying to transfer her 2003 settings to a new computer, she can use the Office 2003 Personal Folders Backup Tool. Click here to download. The program works in Office 2007 as well. You'll need to install the tool on both computers. On the old computer, use the program to backup the files. On the new PC, use the program to restore. Make sure you save the .pst file you backup to removable media so you can restore the file on the Office 2007 computer.

Read this article for instructions on how to use the program. It's worked well for me in the past. :)

No problem. I use that program to backup Outlook daily. I've also used it to transfer settings to a different computer. If you have problems, reply to this thread and I'll try to help you out. :)

There is a way in the options and it will open up the folder that has the file with all her e-mails part of it.

If you copy and paste and that file into the new folder created by outlook 2007 when you open outlook 2007 next it should have all your old e-mails in there.

Yes. You can locate and copy the .pst file in the Application Data/Microsoft/Outlook hidden folder; then, attempt to paste the file in the hidden folder created by the Office 2007 installation. However, the process I described above is much easier. I've used both methods. :)

your 27 your mum seems pretty capable of using the internet, why are you asking questions for her this is quite funny, no offence, just asking.
 
While people can use the interwebs it doesn't mean they can do advanced stuff, my Dad has sent well over 2GB of work emails in the last 2 years and yet it still falls to me to sort out migration and other tasks like that. Not everyone has the same skill level as you or I.
